Monday Inspiration: February 8, 2016

By: Gabriela Yareliz

I am sick, guys. I know. Totally sucks. I am on meds, and I have no voice. It’s an issue when a big part of your job is talking. Monday.

Yesterday, I saw Ravi Zacharias speak at The Brooklyn Tabernacle. That was such a blessing. He spoke particularly on Deuteronomy 8. It was about learning from failures and gaining victory. One of his points was about why it took Israel 40 years wandering in the desert to reach its promised land.

Deuteronomy 8:2, discusses that many times we are tested to be humbled and “that [we] may know what is in [our] hearts.”

This past Sabbath, at church, we discussed that we are often in the wilderness before God fulfills His purpose and promise for our lives. It is a time of test and refinement. A time of preparation.

I really loved Christine Caine’s point, “The most difficult time in your life may be the border to your promised land.”

I hope that this week, if you are going through your own wilderness, if you have been wandering in a desert for 40 years, reflect on what is in your heart and how you can grow.

Be sure that He who has promised is faithful.
