This week was a difficult week because we lost a friend, Gabriel Cardoza. I ask that you keep the Cardoza family and friends in your prayers.
Gabriel was such an amazing young guy. He had a soft, sweet temperament. It was easy to go on adventures and explore with him. He often took his bike everywhere, and he always seemed to be down for an adventure. The youth at Manhattan Seventh-day Adventist Church have great memories with him at the church, Governor’s Island and Central Park. He was always asking for more Bible studies. He adored his family and was full of dreams. Though he is gone, his life and testimony continues to impact his family and friends.
Gabriel you are so missed.
We thank God for His promises.
“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.” 1 Corinthians 15: 22
“But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18
These promises make us look forward to Christ’s second coming even more. We have the peace and faith that we will see you again my brother.
